Who are we

Based in the Staffordshire Moorlands on the edge of the Peak District, Moorlands Specialist Excavations was formed to better reflect the nature of projects we undertake.  Our roots can be traced all the way back to land drainage works on the steep terrain and boggy ground that surround this area often in the most challenging of conditions.

With over 22 years experience of operating machinery on projects all around the country including bulk earthmoving, quarry restoration, major highways, pipelines, land drainage, fishing pools and large agricultural projects a wealth of knowledge has been gained.

Agricultural/Equestrian and Civil Engineering projects undertaken during this time are many and varied including, land clearance, drainage schemes, slurry lagoons, pipelines, septic tanks, sewers, concrete bases, roads, menages, footings, retaining walls, waste transfer stations, basements, bridges, fishing pools etc

Work undertaken in the environmental/forestry sector is very wide ranging, and it is here that our previous experience helps us to bring clients a fresh approach to projects.

We combine sound practical skills with a vast knowledge of machinery to produce cost effective solutions and high workrates.

The gallery will show projects undertaken and the specialist nature of the work.

We are here to help, so please do not hesitate to contact us and we will endeavour to work with you to find a solution to your difficult projects.
